Compassion ,When I was growing up ,was taught a little different then in then twenty first century. We were taught ,to accept all races,Know matter their skin color ,Never judge a book by it cover and simply just be kind anytime you could to a neighbor ,a elder...Give one a helping hand ...
As I look into the twenty first century as a mother of two beautiful Children ,15 and 12 ,I start to realize things have changed alot ...How did we has humans allow this to happen !!!.....
A simple gesture of the twenty first century is now a like a Facebook ,Or Instragram or Tik tok or snap chat .The millennials think this is a nice gesture ,and crave the attention on social media ....Then basing all there posts on approval ...of their
day .....They would also wish a Happy Birthday on Facebook or Instagram instead of actually calling or going to see their friend or family member on a birthday ,Or any occasion for that matter !! How would one get to look into someone's eyes and truly mean it sincerely,or hear their voice, and learn how to communicate, with out social media again ...to felt the presence of someone,In your life again ....and not feel social anxiety...now ...
Racial...#BlackLivesMatters If you say anything these day you are judged ,and our kids are being judged,On everything ,and anything it is a very scary world out there right now ....
How about the poor not so well off people and kids ,Especially now with Covid19 ,How many of them are hungry, and not have a meal to eat before they go to sleep ....How they are judged in this world today ,and there is not enough resources out there too help them right now ,Would our kids know to tell their parents their friend is hungry ,Do they know it ok share....Are we teaching our kids ,To understand ...And not judge a book by it cover?....Because they looked different then you and dont have designer Jean's on or a 200 dollar pair of shoes ...
The biggest thing in the twenty first century to help guide my children is postive talk ,teaching them life lessons,Being there is listen ,answer questions they have ,Listen to problems and simply limited screen time, and getting them to experience all of these things on their own in our own community! And I can truly say ,I am lucky too have two smart ,amazing ,caring and compassioned kids, but we all need a little resurrance from time to time ,and guidance in this beautiful crazy world !
